Private Chef Services

For the times when you just want to give all the food responsibility to someone else..!

I’ve been offering private chef services for ten years, I worked in professional kitchens for years before that, and also have over 10 years experience in Event and Project Management. Success is in the detail and the planning and that starts with learning about your occasion and requirements. Whether it’s a party, wedding, shoot lunch or dinner, corporate event, hen party, stag party, canapé party, festive celebration, holiday in the Outer Hebrides or grand tour of the Sahara - everything is possible and delicious.

I’ve worked in locations around the world, with varying levels of amenities. This is not a catering service - I do not have lists of menus for you to choose from, the difference is you can have what you like. If you don’t know what you’d like then let me provide the inspiration. I build menus based on the occasion, the dietary requirements, the season, the region and the budget. There are no limits. I have a handful of people I can call upon who are fantastic at supporting me both front and back of house, and our capabilities are vast.

As an indication of cost, I hope the following will help when looking at budgets:

  • Formal dining - three canapés and three courses start from £62.50pp

  • Tasting menus with wine pairings start at £85pp for four courses and four wines (I work with Yorkshire Vintners) - canapés available at £7.50pp for three

  • Roasts - not just for Sundays! From £45pp for three courses, depending on your chosen meat/poultry/game

  • Feasts - more convivial, less formal, usually themed to a world cuisine - main course and dessert from £45pp. The main course is a variety of dishes, spread across a table, for one and all to share, visually fantastic and generous - proper feasting. This is followed by a plated dessert

  • Drop off service - all food prepared by me, delivered to you with full instructions on how to finish the dishes. Top notch food with very little faff. Pricing is based on ingredient costs and my time - this is the most economical service.

The above costs cover all food and my time. Travel is an additional cost, also provision of front of house team members and any tableware/appliance hire. There are no added costs for wedding catering - these services are available for any occasion.

‘Have knives will travel!’

I offer travelling chef and expedition chef services, whereby I will go wherever needed and cook for people. This service is based on a daily rate, and can provide catering for anything from luxury travel adventures to isolated country estate parties. I am able to call upon others in the industry to join me on these occasions, so am able to cater for up to 50 guests.
